4 Years Old

Look who just turned 4!
Happy, happy birthday to our sweet boy!
We have been so blessed to have this little guy in our lives the past 4 years. He is smart, friendly, kindhearted and sensitive. He enjoys playing games (especially Candy Land!), putting puzzles together, reading, going to preschool, riding his bike and big wheel, playing with cars/planes/trains, telling jokes, dancing and using his iPad. He chats and sings all day long. He also loves to help others, especially if someone has a problem.
This year, we went with a Disney Planes theme for his birthday celebration.
Here are some of the fun details:

The birthday guests included: My Dad, my great aunt and uncle, Mike's Mom and Mike's brother. (Unfortunately, my Mom was sick with a fever and was not able to come.) After lunch, presents and cake, a few of the neighbor kiddos came over for popcorn, a piñata and cupcakes.
I don't recall who asked Landon how old he was, but up went 7 fingers. Yes, for the past few weeks, Landon has been convinced that he was 6. So, of course, he just turned 7. He isn't very happy when you tell him he is now 4 years old...heehee. (It's a long story, but he came up with the idea when they did an activity at preschool.)
Landon has been wanting Hungry Hungry Hippos for quite some time, so he was SO happy. It's only been a few days and I can't even count how many times we have already played the game.
Mike's aunt and uncle sent Landon some fun presents from their trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Thanks great auntie Nancy and uncle Bengt!
Checking out his new Planes Helicopter Set from uncle Mitchie (from a safe distance on Grandpa's lap).
Not thinking, I bought a number "4" candle for Landon's birthday cake. He suggested that I return the candle and get a number "7" candle. ;-) Thankfully, he was distracted by the amazing cake and blew out the candle without a fuss.
Helping Daddy cut the cake.
Someone was very excited it was time to eat the cake!
Family...

...and friends.
Our fabulous neighbors, Jennifer and MaryLynn brought over their kiddos for more birthday fun.
Eating popcorn from our popcorn machine and playing in the sandbox.
Uncle Mitchie joining the fun.
Woohoo...our Dusty piñata! I think it took about 15 minutes for the kids to finally break the piñata open. It was tiny (another long story), but strong.
Go Landon!

Brady, Joey, Julia and Landon collecting the loot.
Time for cupcakes...Mmm!
It was a great day with family and friends! Now, I'm just curious how old he will be on his next birthday!?
Landon... Mommy and Daddy love you all the way to the moon and back!
