Valentine's Day

I hope everyone enjoyed a special day with your loved ones!

Landon loves balloons, so of course I had to get him some! We often find him pointing at the balloons and saying, "ooh, ooh."

This evening, one of the balloons was in our bedroom and Landon carried it all the way to the kitchen. Not that our kitchen is too far away from our bedroom, but watching a 10 month old walk and carry a balloon through the house was rather impressive. ;)

Mike had to work on Valentine's Day, so Landon and I took Gammy to Ruby's Diner for lunch.

*Funniest moment: The manager came around to check on us. Landon offered her a piece of his bread, then accidentally dropped it on the floor. The manager picked the bread up off the floor and pretended to eat it. (Oh, what people won't do for a cute baby! haha)

*Sweetest moment: The lady behind us asked if Landon was always this well-behaved. A very proud Gammy replied, "Yes, he is!"

When Daddy got home from work, he took Landon for a walk while I made dinner. I think Landon would love to have balloons tied to his highchair every day!

In the morning, Landon and I made Daddy brownies. Well, I made them and Landon laughed the whole time. In particular, he thought it was hilarious when I was stirring all the ingredients together. I guess he thought he earned a taste since he "helped" me make them. :)

Landon's First Steps

On January 31st, Landon took his first four steps without holding onto anything. Since then, he has been improving his walking skills each and every day. Yesterday, Mike took a video of Landon walking down the hallway.

We're Moving!

The Newman's are heading back to Ladera Ranch! Escrow just closed today and we are set to move into our new house on April 1st. Does that date sound familiar to anyone? Yep, we are moving on Landon's first birthday. What a fantastic birthday present! A neighborhood full of children, parks, pools, a water park, a skate park and terrific schools. What a year of blessings this has been for us! I stole a few pictures of our new house off the internet. Here they are...

This is where I'll be making some yummy meals for my boys.

I think this will be Landon's room. There is another room that is a bit bigger, but Mike and I are thinking it would be a nice playroom for Landon. Plus, this room is already decorated perfectly for a boy!

This is where Mike will make some delicious meals for all of our friends and family who want to come and visit us. ;)
