St. Patrick's Day

To celebrate our Irish heritage, we headed out to our local pub in Dana Point.
Before we ate dinner, Landon spent some time looking for a leprechaun.
He thinks he's found one.
He's coming up with a plan to catch it, and...
he's off!
It's hard work looking for a leprechaun, so Landon thought he would play with Mommy and Daddy instead.
While Landon was eating an authentic Irish meal of bread, chicken and butternut squash (haha), he caught a glimpse of a leprechaun up in the tree.
"Yup, it's my lucky day! Now, I just need to find his pot of gold!"

Mr. Independent

Now that Landon is walking, he has become quite independent. As soon as his feet hit the ground, he's off to explore.
Pictures are getting harder to take (unless he's in a swing...haha), because he's always on the go. The world is way too exciting to stop and smile for the camera.
"Bye Mom, I'm going to see what's over here."
"Hmmm, I don't feel like wearing my hat anymore."
"Where did Jacob go?"
Jacob was a cute little friend that Landon met. He was about 1.5 to 2 years old. Everywhere Jacob went, he asked his Mom, "Wuz dat?" ("What's that?"). She followed him around naming all the different objects. Then, he came up to Landon and asked, "Wuz dat?" With a huge grin I said, "This is Landon."
"Come on Mom, let's go this way."
Here is one last picture that I had to include. Recently, Landon seems to enjoy looking at books more than playing with toys. We often find him just sitting down and flipping through the pages in a book. He loves when the books have different things to feel, parts that slide open and pages that pop up. Yup, our baby is growing up and in no time at all, we will be celebrating his first birthday.

The Beach...Take Two

While Mike was away in Colorado on a business trip, Gammy, Landon and I thought we would head back to the beach. Same place...same great time...but a few new pictures. Don't worry, we didn't rub it in that we were enjoying a beautiful, sunny day while it was cold and snowing in Colorado (heehee).
Landon was checking out the surf.
Enjoying some bread before lunch arrived. Boy, does Landon love bread!
Mommy and her cutie pie!

My heart is full of love for this kiddo!
Landon would have stayed at the beach all day, but we had to head home.

The Beach

Gammy, Landon and I went to lunch at a restaurant on the beach. Afterward, we thought we would take a closer look at the ocean. It didn't take long before we all had our socks and shoes off and our feet in the water. It's winter, but hey, we live in sunny California!
I'm not sure what Landon was pointing at, but he must have seen something interesting.
The water was warmer than I expected. Landon loved it!
We had a lot of fun! Poor Daddy had to work. He'll have to join us next time!
