Classes

For the past month, Landon has been taking a Play & Learn class at Gymboree. Here are a few pics that I snapped with my iPhone.
It's the perfect place for our little monkey to climb, run, slide, play instruments, sing songs and interact with other children.
Here is our little guy practicing teamwork,
 playing the maracas,
 going down the slide,
 jumping,
 popping bubbles,
 more jumping,
 playing a drum,
 and just looking cute. :)
This week Landon is going to begin their music class.
Speaking of classes, I took a 2-day photography class. One day was a 3 hour class at a photography studio and the other day was a 2 hour field session at a park. My goal is to learn how to use my fancy camera that Mike bought me for Christmas. For the past 7 months, I have only used my camera in auto mode. Well, guess what? These two pictures are NOT in auto mode...woohoo!! I took them during our field session at the park.
It is so exciting to finally understand (at least a little bit better) ISO, aperture and shutter speed.
When I got home from the field session, I thought I would practice with shutter speed on our fountain in the backyard. (It might come in handy with our speedy little 2 year old!) Well, this picture is on AUTO mode...
and this picture is NOT. Compare the water in both pictures. Now, I must keep practicing what I've learned. Perhaps I will take another class in the future!!

We hope you are having a relaxing and fun-filled summer!
About a month ago, we had our pictures taken at the Orange Groves in San Juan Capistrano. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

Fun on the 4th

I discovered a way for you to receive an email when I update my blog. So, if you would like, please sign up on the right sidebar (at the top).
Happy 4th of July!
We hope you had a fabulous day.
Landon showing some patriotism.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag..."
Mommy and her little love bug all ready to start the day.
In the morning, we walked down the street and joined in the Ladera Ranch parade.
It was the perfect day for a parade...nice and cool weather!
Gaga (formerly Gammy...Landon renamed her...heehee) is now a resident of Ladera Ranch and, of course, joined in the fun.
"Hey, how did Pixie get in my wagon?"
My friend Teri's house is along the parade route, so she (along with Pixie) ran out to say, "Hi."
Can you feel the excitement in the air? So fun!
Silly Mommy!
(Ah, I couldn't resist this photo op)
After lunch and Landon taking a nice 2-hour nap, we headed out to our street party. I made some yummy treats for the potluck dinner...Mmmm.
Shooting some hoops with Daddy.
"Ooh, ooh...Is that balloon for me uncle Mitchie?"
"Wheeeeee!"
All cozy and ready for his very first fireworks show. We had a great time watching the display from our balcony. Afterward, Landon was all tuckered out and wanted to "go to sleep." Such a fun and exciting day with our sweet boy!
