Boating

Yesterday, Mike and I took Landon out for his very first boat ride on Mission Viejo lake. How else do you spend a warm, sunny winter's day? Of course, Landon loved it! It was a combination of the two things he enjoys the most: water and the outdoors.
"Hi Mommy. Can we go boating every day?"
"Dad, I think we should go a little to the left. I see some ducks over there."
"Whoa, this is way too much fun!"
"Look Dad, I can steer with one hand and not even look where I'm going."
"Hmmm, how do I get closer to the water?"
"Hi everyone! I know, I know, we are very popular around here...everyone loves us because we're so cute and friendly!"

The Park

Today, Landon and I enjoyed a walk to the park. What a beautiful day!
Landon is finally able to stand long enough for me to snap some pics. I know I'm a bit biased, but doesn't he look SO cute!?!
My friend Kathrine says it looks like he's posing. I totally agree!
Such a happy little boy!
Oh yes, one of Landon's favorite activities...swinging.
Landon is having so much fun it looks like he's on a ride at Disneyland.
"Look Mom, no hands!"
Yes, I know he's in the swing backwards, but the sun would have been in his eyes the other way. One more thing...Landon made a little friend at the park. His name was Cameron and he was almost 3 years old. When it was time for Cameron to go home, he said, "Just 5 more minutes Mom, the baby needs me." It was too adorable!

First Haircut

Yesterday, Landon got his very first haircut.
This is what Landon's hair looks like in the morning. Don't you just love his mohawk? Although Mike and I think his "Rock N Roll" hairdo is totally adorable, we thought he needed a trim to start off the new year and celebrate his 9 month birthday.
We're on our way!
My friend recommended "A Star Is Born" for Landon's first haircut. Thanks Kathrine!
Landon in his yellow, convertible car. He's checking out what's on TV.
This is Rosa, Landon's personal stylist. She was wonderful with Landon and didn't mind us taking a ton of pictures (Yay!).
"Hmmm, Dad this is very interesting. What is this lady doing to my hair?"
"It's over and now I can go for a drive in my shiny, new car. Let's go Dad!"
Mike needed a haircut too, so while Rosa cut his hair, Landon played a little guitar and...
made some new friends.
Afterward, Landon received a certificate with his picture and a lock of his golden hair (or a pinch of fuzz...however you want to look at it :).
