Santa

Ho Ho Ho!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas making cherished memories with your loved ones!
How is it that the month of December is so incredibly busy, then all of a sudden, on December 26th, it all comes to an abrupt halt. Suddenly, it is so quiet and peaceful and all you can hear are the sounds of joy and laughter of the neighborhood children all enjoying their new toys outside (yep...in the 80 degree winter weather of Southern California…oh my!). Well, now that I have some time to relax and catch up on a few things, I thought I would post a few pictures of our adorable little love bug.
Landon was super excited to visit Santa and give him his Christmas wish list.
We were the only ones in line for Santa, so Santa took his time and had a nice chat with Landon.
 He was so happy!
Melt my heart!
We had a fun-filled December with a visit from our magical elf
(Ollie), a trip to see Christmas trees at Tanaka Farms, a ride on the Christmas Train at the Irvine Park Railroad, a trip to Disneyland and a holiday concert at Landon's Preschool. More pictures of our December adventures will be posted, but for now, I will leave you with a few "random" pictures from Thanksgiving...
Gobble, Gobble! Landon made this hat in Preschool. Seriously, how cute is it!?
Cutest little turkey…EVER!
Mommy and her little turkey.
The boys watching some football while waiting for our guests to arrive.
Okay, this is the third year in a row that we have bought a pre-brined turkey from Trader Joe's. Each year it has been juicy and delicious. Easy and yummy…win, win!
Oh, and this little guy couldn't wait for his pumpkin pie. First time eating pumpkin pie and he loved it! Mmmm!

Firefighter Landon

We hope you have been enjoying the fall season as much as we have!
A yearly trip to Pumpkin City in Laguna Hills has now become a family tradition. Landon loves Pumpkin City so much that we even went back a couple more times.
Although I don't have any pictures (oh my!), we were invited to a neighbor's house for a "Driveway Movie Night" the Friday before Halloween. After dinner, everyone in the 'hood headed down with their chairs and blankets to our neighbor's driveway where the children played, adults chatted, goodies were eaten, and everyone waited for the sun to set. Once it was dark, with popcorn and hot chocolate in hand, the children watched Toy Story Halloween and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown projected onto a large white sheet hanging down in front of the garage. Landon had a great time and couldn't stop talking about the movies (and asking when we get to go watch another movie in the driveway)!
Halloween morning, Landon had a parade at his preschool. This year, Landon wanted to be a firefighter. This is Landon's teacher, Miss MaryLynn, and...
this is Landon's other teacher, Miss Deborah. I know I have said this before, but we love them and couldn't have asked for better teachers for Landon.
Each class got to march around the circle two times.
Miss MaryLynn and Landon leading his class. ;-)
Waving to the crowd of parents.
Seriously, the cuteness is too much!

In the early evening, we headed down the street for our annual Halloween party. Of course, I had to take a few pictures of "Firefighter Landon" before we left.

Party time!
Firefighter Landon is helping with the investigation at the crime scene.
Here are a few more random pics from the party...

Adorable group shot of the kids in the 'hood.
Landon was SO happy that it was finally dark and he could go Trick-or-Treating. This was his first stop. Our sweet neighbor gave him a handful of lollipops.
If the house was a little spooky, Landon took one of us with him. (If the house was too spooky, we walked right past it and kept on going).
Not a very spooky house…haha.

Checking out everyone's loot in a neighbor's garage (and trading candy).
Mmmm!
Cutest firefighter around!! xo

Maui

Happy fall to all our friends and family! I thought I better post pics of our summer vacation before Halloween rolls around. Well, back in August, we headed off to Maui for almost a week. This was Landon's first airplane ride and he did an AMAZING job.
This is the plane we took from Oahu to Maui.
Having a "coffee" before our flight.
Let me introduce you to our adorable pilot, Landon.
Ready for take off...hold on TIGHT!
Phew...we arrived safely! Here we are at the Grand Wailea. Let our adventure begin...
The hotel was gorgeous with so much to do!
We were greeted with flower leis and tropical juice. Landon also got a coloring book and a bag of food to feed the koi fish.
Waiting for us in our room was a special surprise from my parents. A delicious fruit plate...Mmmm!
Ready to hit the baby beach and pool! (Our pictures won't show how amazing this place is...there are numerous pools on different levels connected by a river and water slides. There are waterfalls, rapids, a rope swing, caves, water elevator, slides, etc. And, all of this is just steps away from Wailea Beach.)
Of course, our little car lover had to have the tire swim ring...
which was enjoyed by all!
Floatin' down the lazy river. Bye Daddy!
Heehee...someone reclaimed his tire.
We visited the Maui Ocean Center. Such a fun (and very windy) day!

We got to see Landon's favorite ocean animal (sharks)...
and my favorite ocean animal (sea turtles).

We enjoyed learning the history of Maui at the Grand Luau at Honuaula. (A luau right at our hotel!)

The amazing sunset at our Luau.

A small beach we found where you can pull your car right up to the sand.

Pure joy!
More baby beach/pool fun!

Doesn't this picture just make you want to jump on a plane and head to Maui!?
Yep, that's me...getting ready to swing on the rope and jump into the Tarzan pool...
yahoo!
Mike getting ready for a little snorkeling at Wailea Beach. (Just a hop, skip and a jump away from our hotel's pool).

Hanging out while Daddy was snorkeling.
We also visited the town of Lahaina for some shopping, dinner and a yummy ice cream treat.
All tuckered out from our exciting adventure and taking a little snooze on our flight home.
