Ho Ho Ho!

Where did the time go? I can't believe it will be Christmas in just a few days!?!
From our family to yours, we would like to wish you a joyful holiday filled with wonderful memories.
This year, Landon was very excited to visit Santa and give him his Christmas list. His list included: "the Nemo movie, a purple choo choo and books."
"Hmmm...maybe I would like more than just 3 things..."
"Oh yes, a candy cane would be perfect! Thank you Santa!"
Earlier this month, Landon received a special delivery...
all the way from the North Pole!
Someone was very intrigued with this fancy box.
Inside the box was an elf named Ollie and a letter from Santa.
[Some of you may be familiar with the book, The Elf On The Shelf: A Christmas Tradition. Well, Santa sends out some elves to visit children from December 1st to Christmas Eve. Each night, the elf heads back to the North Pole and reports to Santa on the child's behavior (That's how Santa makes his Nice/Naughty lists). When the elf returns each morning, he/she is hiding in a new spot. Okay, so I tweaked some things here and there, but I am keeping to the story...more or less (i.e. Since Landon is only 2, I named the elf, I let Landon touch the elf, etc.]
Landon was excited to meet Ollie and
read Santa's letter. He even gave Ollie a little smooch.
(I tried to make Santa's letter as authentic as I could- fancy stationery, font, Santa signature and I even burned the edges. It's a good thing Landon can't read yet, as it said 49 cents on the back of the paper...haha ;-)
Here are a few of the things Ollie has been up to...
Getting some treats from Landon's potty training gumball machine.
 Hangin' out in Landon's stocking.
Enjoying some popcorn with his morning cartoons.
 Writing Landon a message.
 Playing with Landon's cars.
Landon liked this one. He asked, "What Ollie doing with my cars?"
Reading a Christmas story to Landon's stuffed animals.
So far, this has been Landon's favorite. He said, "Wow, amazing! Why they all gather round?" I said, "It's storytime! Ollie is reading to your animals." So, Landon plopped himself right down to listen along. Seriously, he is too cute!!! Ollie has also been found in our Christmas tree, hanging from the light above our kitchen table, sleeping in our bed, and even zip lining across our family room. Silly Ollie!
And here is my random pic...
Landon and his buddies eating ice cream from the ice cream truck in the middle of December (only in Southern California!?!).

Day Out With Thomas

Last Sunday we went to the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, CA. While watching TV one day, I discovered that you could take a ride on Thomas the Train, so I immediately went online and bought tickets (of course!).
Our day included riding on Thomas the Train, eating a yummy lunch, riding on a trolley, viewing old trains, dancing to a live band, watching part of a Thomas & Friends video and riding on a caboose.
This little guy loves trains (and especially Thomas the Train)!
 Here we go...
Choo choo!
 "Hey, what's in here?"
Dancing and singing to a band playing children's songs.
 The boys are rocking out!
Watching a Thomas & Friends video.
Gaga is the one that introduced Landon to Thomas the Train and got him a train set for Christmas, so of course she was excited to go too.
All aboard!
All the way at the top of the caboose...
"Hi Mama!"

October Fun!

Happy fall! Have you been enjoying the cooler weather? We sure have! It seems as if October flew by. Here are some pictures to show you what we've been up to the past few weeks.
We visited Pumpkin City in Laguna Hills twice...once with Daddy and once while Daddy was at work. Landon loved it!
This year Landon was tall enough to go on most of the rides. The boat ride was his favorite. He also went on the train ride, car ride and swings.
Of course he loved sitting on the tractor.
"Giddy up, horsey!"
Awww...too cute!
We also went for a two-day trip to Disneyland/California Adventure. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. Landon loves his backpack; it was filled with books and his blankies (Can't go anywhere without those!).
 Woohoo...Landon's first trip to Disneyland.
 Mr. Cutie Patootie!
Can you see the tiny little driver!?!
Landon was so excited when the riverboat passed by us while we were eating lunch. He waved and said, "Bonjour" to the passengers. (Landon loves to say, "Bonjour" to people!)
Fun with Daddy! Zoom, zoom!
Landon thought It's A Small World was, "Amazing!" He also sings the song around the house (In fact, he was singing it today during lunch).
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...(strange ride, but totally cute pic!)
It's definitely a must...getting Mickey ears on your first trip to Disneyland!!
Well, Landon LOVED Disneyland (and California Adventure), he has talked about it every day since and we have even returned to celebrate Mike's birthday.
Happy Halloween!
Isn't Landon the cutest race car driver...ever??
I couldn't decide which picture was cuter, so I included them both. ;-)
Playing with the children at our neighborhood street party. He was trying out Chloe's sword...yikes!
 Hangin' with Joey and Nick.
Oh...my...goodness...I wish you could hear Landon say, "Trick-or-treat" and "Thank you" at each house. He was also so polite and only took one piece of candy. (yes, we practiced at home ;-)
 Love my little racer!
He went up to most houses, unless they were "too scary." :-)
Nope, this nun wasn't scary at all!
 Checking out his loot!
Yep...Here's my random photo!! Thought I would throw in this pic of us (minus me) enjoying the sunset after eating dinner at K'ya in Laguna Beach.
Tomorrow we are off to ride on Thomas the Train (Yes, you read that right! Stay tuned for another blog post!)
