Havin' Fun!

On Wednesday, Landon and I went to visit my friend Elisa and her beautiful daughter, Avery. Avery is 3 years old and is going to become a big sister to baby Reece in just a few weeks.
Landon is enjoying just hangin' with Elisa.
So cute! I can tell that Avery is going to be a terrific big sister to baby Reece!
On Friday, Mike, Gammy and I took Landon to San Juan Capistrano. Of course, Landon is snoozing on the way over.
Here we are at the train station.
We had some yummy sandwiches at the Hummingbird House Cafe.
Lunchtime for Landon!
There is a fun petting zoo for children. We didn't go inside the zoo, but we walked around and peeked at some of the animals. We will have to bring Landon back here when he is older. Do you see the horses in the background?
I was saying, "Hi!" to one of the llamas.
Here are a few extra pictures that I thought I would throw in.
What a handsome little guy!
Landon usually starts smiling as he falls asleep, so I grabbed my iPhone and snapped a shot. Sleeping is his happy time! :)

Friends And Family

On Wednesday, Landon and I met Auntie Terri at her favorite restaurant. I know, I know...you probably guessed it...Native Foods. Well, if we met somewhere else to eat, we would probably be longing for our yummy Veggie-Mighty-Vita Burgers!
To our surprise, Landon woke up just as we were leaving, so Auntie Terri got to have a much needed snuggle with her favorite cutie pie. He looks so adorable all cuddled up on her super soft sweater.
Bonding time with Auntie Terri!
Terri likes to spoil Landon and got him this fancy "Buzzy Bee" organic diaper cake. Not only does it have a bunch of Eco Friendly diapers, but it also has a storybook, organic teether, pacifier, onesie, blanket and a number of Weleda Baby Care products. I can't bring myself to open it yet, but I'm sure I'll rip into it soon to check out all those goodies. Landon thanks you for lookin' out for his little bum (and all his other little baby parts too)!
On Saturday, my parents came over for a visit to spend some quality time with Landon. Well, Landon had a little accident on Grandma...oops! Hmmm, maybe I'll be breaking into that diaper cake sooner, rather than later. ;)
Awww, so cute!
Look at how much bigger and stronger my little tiny baby is getting.
Okay, I know I have two of the same picture, but I just couldn't decide which one I liked the best...so I posted both of them. :)
Ahhh, so relaxed!

Roger's Gardens

On Tuesday, Landon and I went for an outing to Roger's Gardens. I thought this would be a great outdoor activity for us to enjoy the fresh air and wonderful ocean breeze. Roger's Gardens is a beautiful place to visit with such colorful and aromatic flowers, interesting plants and trees and fun waterfalls and home decor to look through. I have included some pictures from our trip and a few others that I took during the week.
Yes, I love my purple flowers!
Such a pretty place to go for a leisurely walk!
Listening to the splashing sounds of the waterfall was so relaxing.
"Hmmm, I think I smell something really nice."
"Oh yes, I smell the roses in the Rose Garden."
We have discovered that Landon is quite interested in the mobile above his Pack n' Play. He can watch it go around and around for quite some time. I'm sure it helps that it plays a catchy little tune.
"Hey mom, stop messin' with my hair!"
"Ahoy Matey, I'm off to find some buried treasure!"
This is right after bath time. Landon is really starting to enjoy taking baths. They are very calming for him and he usually falls asleep afterward. In this picture he is looking out the window. He LOVES to look out windows. He is a very inquisitive little guy. I can't wait until he is a little older so we can go explore the outdoors together. :)
Landon's favorite place to sleep...on my shoulder. It had been over an hour and all I had to entertain myself with was my iPhone, so I snapped a few shots of him sleeping. His head was tilted back in an interesting way, so it allowed me to get a nice shot of my adorable sleeping angel!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone is having a nice day celebrating their moms! Here are a few pictures from my week.
On Wednesday, Mike and I took Landon for a walk. We started out at our small, private beach and ended up at the larger, public beach. It was a nice day to get some exercise, sunshine and fresh air. Landon slept most of the time, but would open his eyes every now and then to peek at us.
I loved these beautiful purple flowers and thought they made a nice backdrop for my photo. :)
We are at the main public beach. There were a few people laying out in the sun, but no one brave enough to be swimming in the cool water.
Mike went off-roading with Landon onto one of the docks. :)
I couldn't find my adorable ducklings, but I did see some cute goslings.
Love this little guy!
How cute is this hand?
Play time! Be sure to grab your magnifying glass and watch the mini movie Mike made of Landon playing on his Activity Gym (it's located at the end of this post).
My mom works on Sundays, so we celebrated Mother's Day yesterday. My parents and Mike's Mom and brother came over to our house for some yummy lunch and dessert. It was amazing to celebrate my first Mother's Day as a Mom!
A big smooch for my favorite little guy! Don't you just love his lil' bum?
Happy Mother's Day Mom! I think she's in love...
Landon got to meet his uncle Mitchie. He's a cool dude!
Well, I gotta go... I have a sleeping baby on my shoulder and it's getting quite tiring typing with one finger. ;)

Baby Landon Goes On Safari

Mike made a mini video (It's a bit small since he used his iPhone. Oh well, it's still cute!).

One Month Old!

Wow, I can't believe that Landon is already one month old! Mike and I are cherishing every moment. It is amazing to watch him grow, become stronger and see how his personality is developing. During the mornings and early evenings, he is more awake and alert now and we enjoy talking, singing and playing with him (well, Mike does the singing ;). Here are a few activities that we did during the week.
On Tuesday, Landon and I took a stroll along our private beach at the lake. It was a beautiful day! Although Landon slept the whole time, we enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air. (Seriously, every time Landon gets into his car seat, he starts to snooze. I have to admit, it looks quite comfy. I would probably fall fast asleep too!)

Although there weren't any people at the beach, there were some adorable ducklings. Awww, how cute!!

Spa day! Landon's nails were getting a little long, so he got a mani/pedi on Wednesday. I did my research and bought some really nice baby nail scissors. I was very nervous, so Gammy came over to help. We decided to trim his nails while he was asleep to eliminate any unnecessary squirming. Gammy used a small flashlight so I could see his teeny tiny nails while I trimmed and filed away. We were very successful as Landon slept the WHOLE time! To complete his spa day, we gave him a bath, bottle and snuggle.
The same day, Landon got a special treat in the mail. Since I don't get out much these days, I have been visiting Amazon.com quite a bit. ;) It's fun to get special packages delivered right to my front door! This is a 3-D Activity Gym. So far, his favorite part is listening to the Mozart music and watching how the flowers light up to the music (the flowers are near the elephant's nose). He also likes to look up at the toys hanging from the bars.
P.S. Landon is in his pajamas, not a dress!
On Friday, Mike and I took Landon to his one month check-up with Dr. Shannon. Landon continues to do well and is in excellent health! This is the outfit he wore home from the hospital. Isn't this the cutest little alligator that you've ever seen??
Snuggle time!
On Friday afternoon, Landon and I met Auntie Terri at her favorite place to eat, Native Foods. We got there a few minutes early, so we stopped by the fountain for a photo and to listen to the fun water sounds.
Here's Auntie Terri. Landon enjoyed his favorite activity (sleeping) and Terri and I enjoyed ours (gabbing). A good time was had by all. :)
