Pumpkin City

Fall is one of our favorite seasons! We get excited about the change in weather, approaching holidays and fun activities that lie ahead. So far, we have already celebrated Landon's half birthday (can you believe he's 18 months!?!) and visited the pumpkin patch...twice. Also, this weekend we are going to the pumpkin festival in Ladera Ranch and in the next couple weeks we will visit Tanaka Farms, celebrate Mike's birthday and go trick-or-treating on Halloween.
While Mike was away on a business trip in Colorado, Gammy and I took Landon to Pumpkin City in Laguna Hills.
Since we went during the week, it wasn't very crowded and Landon got to wander around wherever he wanted.
"Woohoo, this is fun!"
Of course Landon wanted to go on the tractor (and didn't really want to get off...haha).
I wanted to take Landon on the pony ride, but thought I better wait for Daddy. So, when Mike returned from his trip, we went back to the pumpkin patch...yippee!
"Hi goats."
"Hi little piggies."
Oh yes, the pony ride. Mike walked alongside Landon during the ride.
Totally adorable!
Landon seemed to like it and waved to me when he went by.
"Hi Mommy."
Okay, here's a totally random (but totally cute) picture of Landon and uncle Mitchie exploring sea creatures at the Long Beach Aquarium. Yep, Gammy, uncle Mitchie, Landon and I were having more fun while Mike was away in Colorado.
And since I'm adding random pictures, I thought I would throw this one in. I should have added it to my last post of pictures around our house while under construction. Landon found a secret spot behind our built-in barbecue to dig in the dirt with Daddy's shovel. Seriously, how cute is this?

Home Sweet Home

So, it has been brought to my attention that...
1. I have not posted in a few weeks
and
2. I have not posted any pictures of our newly painted house
Just to remind you...
this is what our house looked like when we bought it.
It was very lovely, but in need of a fresh coat of paint. We selected a bluish-gray color.
Then, we decided to add new grass, plants, trees and flowers. Landon loved to be in the middle of all the action. He tried to help whenever he could.
Someone needed a little rest after all his hard work.
After the grass was in, Landon thought he should do some watering.
It's possible that he could play with a hose all day long. :)
All finished...SO pretty!!!
A shot of the fabulous sunset from our backyard.
Mike bought a couple fountains for our backyard. Landon loves his "wawa" (water)!
Landon likes to run races in the backyard. He says, "Go" and we all run from one end of the grass to the other. This continues until we all get tired (or decide to play something else).
Landon helping Daddy water in the evening. Daddy thought Landon needed a pretty purple flower in his hair...silly Daddy!
Did I mention how much Landon loves water!?!
Hangin' out with his buddy, Pixie.
Our little reader. Landon loves to read in the morning, afternoon and evening. This is his favorite book. He has it memorized and can basically point to any truck that we ask him to find.
Daddy and Landon went to the end of the cul-de-sac to play with the neighborhood children and Landon came home with this. After I took a picture (of course!), I sent them back before Julia organized a search party for her stolen baby.
Hangin' with Joey. Joey is a very sweet boy that lives on our street.
Hope you enjoyed a little "peek" into our daily life.
