Merry Christmas!

Ho ho ho...Merry Christmas! I have clearly dropped the ball with my blog, but wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I keep saying to myself that I will "catch up" and add a bunch of pictures, but it doesn't seem like it is going to happen. Well, to begin, we are all healthy, happy, and excited for Santa's arrival this evening. We just went to church and enjoyed a delicious dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant. Soon, we will put out cookies for Santa, carrots for Santa's reindeer, sprinkle some magic reindeer food with glitter on the lawn, and read The Night Before Christmas before hopping into bed.
The excitement has been growing the past few weeks, especially with Landon's daily discovery of our little elf's antics, and opening his Lego Star Wars Advent calendar. We also took a trip on Santa's Christmas train at the Irvine Park Railroad. This year, Landon asked Santa for books, Lego Star Wars Hoth Base, more Magnatiles for his ever-growing collection, art supplies, and a new bike and helmet.
This handsome little guy is in second grade this year. He is extremely smart and kindhearted; his teacher could not say enough good things about him during our Parent-Teacher conference. This year, I started teaching at Landon's school. I am working in a job share, so I get the best of both worlds. You can't even imagine the joy I feel while working and seeing Landon pass by, or being able to give him a kiss on his head while I walk past him during his lunch. Mike telecommutes from home on the days I work, and they always stop by at the end of the day for a hug before walking home. We are truly blessed beyond measure!
