Since the weather has been quite warm, I thought we would head down to Dana Point for a nice walk to enjoy the cool ocean breeze. After hearing a cute little voice say, "No ocean, Mama," I quickly came up with a new plan and we headed to San Juan Capistrano to watch the trains. There is NO way I would ever hear, "No trains, Mama." Nope, not from this adorable train-obsessed-loving boy.
I have always wanted to have a "cup of coffee" at the Hidden House Cafe, so that's where our adventure began. Okay, so I don't drink coffee, but I enjoyed a yummy strawberry banana smoothie and Landon and I split a blueberry muffin...mmm. We had a relaxing time talking about "choo choos" and watching them pass by. We also chatted with a nice gentleman who said Landon was a very sweet and happy boy and that I should be a very proud Mom. Awww...totally proud Mom!!!
After our special treat, we went for a walk and ended up at Zoomar's Petting Zoo. Of course, we had to go in and visit the animals...right!?! Landon loved this little Guinea Pig. Every time he (she?) got off of Landon's lap (in search of more food), Landon wanted me to put it back on his lap. Hmmm...I think I see a little Guinea Pig joining our family in the future...yep.
Big Guinea Pig: "May I have some of your veggies, please?"
Little Guinea Pig: "Okay, but not too many."
Big Guinea Pig: "Munch, munch, munch."
Little Guinea Pig: "Hey, I said not too many."
Landon: "Don't worry little friend, here's a carrot."
And, if there is an opportunity to ride a train, there is no way we can pass it up...right!?!
Woohoo...running through the big box of corn.
So fun (and in the shade...yay)!
Oh my, they added a seriously big dinosaur...that Landon loved!
Landon could see the trains from the play structure and was pretending he was on the island of Sodor (Thomas the Train reference). It was too cute!
Okay, so we didn't get a refreshing cool walk by the ocean, but look at that face...SO happy (despite it being 91 degrees in San Juan Capistrano!).
Choo choo!!
