San Diego

For our anniversary, Mike bought us annual passes to the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park and Sea World. So, on Tuesday, we headed to San Diego for a fun-filled, action-packed mini vacation.
We arrived at the zoo Tuesday morning and began with a bus tour. Landon had a great time seeing all of the different animals.
"Wow, I see a lion!"
Landon pointing at some "jaffs" (giraffes).
Hmmm...someone was trying to climb up to visit the leopard.
"Here little kitty!"
Daddy and Landon checking out an elephant.
The elephants were amazing. We enjoyed watching them.

 (Not pictured...the koalas)
Someone was so sleepy. He took a snooze in the stroller.
After the zoo, we went to our hotel. We stayed at the Catamaran and this was our view off the balcony. Nice, right!?!
Landon was so excited when we got to the hotel and saw the ocean view.
On our way to dinner, we explored the hotel grounds and Landon joined a little duck family.
"Quack, quack."
The hotel has a restaurant right on the boardwalk. We enjoyed a yummy dinner!
 Such a happy boy!
After dinner, we decided to put our feet in the water.
 Silly boys!
The next morning we went to Sea World. Our first stop was the Manta roller coaster. Can you spy Mike and Landon in the first row? :-)
This was my favorite exhibit. The polar bears were magnificent!
Daddy and Landon trying to touch the Beluga whales. ;-)
 "Hi little Gecko."
Landon enjoyed the children's play area. He stacked blocks (nice teamwork boys!), climbed through a tunnel, walked across a bridge, went down the slide, played musical instruments, etc. So fun!
 Awww...nice seal!
SHARKS! Landon loves sharks and couldn't get enough of the shark exhibit. He even got a special treat: a stuffed shark and a shark for his bathtub. Yippee!
We only made it to one show, but it was spectacular! It had dolphins, pilot whales, tropical birds and acrobats. Landon sat still with his eyes glued to the show the whole time.
 He clapped...
and was all smiles.
Such a fun (and educational!) mini vacation.
